Children are actively involved in the planning of the schemes and participate in activities that encourage and develop independence, confidence and inclusion in their local community. This is measured through continuous assessments, attendance levels and the relationships that are built with the children and young people. O.C.O.S.C. also work closely with schools and other agencies to assess the positive impact in the community.
The aim of our holiday club is to provide an extensive programme of activities for children and young people throughout the period which schools are closed. To ensure that children have a safe environment whilst their parents work or study. O.C.O.S.C. organised activities away from the local area designed to encourage the children and young people to feel part of their local community and enables them to experience activities that they would otherwise not get to experience (all of the activities are heavily subsidised through fundraising throughout the year).
